National Examinations Board (NEB) Examinations Controller Santosh Aryal was removed from his post on Wednesday. National Examination Board is currently taking grade 12 examinations.
Saying that Aryal had sent the question papers of the grade 12 examinations to the exam centres without confirming the number of students, a meeting of the NEB held this afternoon decided to give him the boot.
The NEB said that due to the negligence of Aryal, the exam centres had faced shortfall of questions papers.
When enquired, member secretary of the NEB Dilliram Rimal said: “I don’t want to speak anything about the issue right now.”
The Board has entrusted Rimal with the authority to remove Aryal from the post and hand over the responsibility to senior deputy Examinations Controller.
The country has been facing shortage of questions papers due to the sheer negligence of Aryal.
It has also been found that Aryal had not adopted privacy while sending the question papers to the exam centres.
