The National Vigilance Centre raided the Higher Secondary Education Board for the third day on Friday as part of its ongoing investigation into irregularities in the centre. HSEB was in the final preparation of publishing the results of grade 12 non science.

On Thursday, NVC sealed 354 sets of answer sheets of Grade XII in the wake of complaints from students that there were irregularities on the part of the HSEB in marking of answer sheets.  With the raid of National Vigilance Centre and sealing of answer sheets, the fate of grade 12 on science results become uncertain again.

A committee under Sher Bahadur Dhungana is probing the irregularities and results are unlikely to publish until the probe panel give clean cheat to Higher Secondary Education Board. This news is going to irate the grade 12 non science students, who are waiting for their results. Some HSEB officials seeking anonymity told edusanjal that, this investigation is a regular investigation so it may not hamper to the extent of postponing the result and result may publish within 2/3 days. So its again confusion and uncertainity looming over grade 12 non science result publishing date.

Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu University, Pokhara University and Purbanchal University had already published admision notices for Bachelor levels. Kathmandu University has already enrolled students in various programs on provisional basis. Recently Tribhuvan University postponed the date of CMAT exam, waiting for the grade 12 results.

This type of irregularities and irresponsible activities in HSEB will have major impact on the academic calendars. This is the latest example of irregularities in education sector. Previously CTEVT exam was cancelled due to paper leakage. The fate of BE entrance exam of Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University has not yet decided.
