The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM) has directed the Ministry of Education to make arrangements for the students, who have failed to pay their examination fees, to appear in the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examinations. The OPMCM’s direction came after media reported that 248 students in Kanchanpur district were barred from appearing in this year’s SLC exams for failing to pay exam fees on time. The District Education Office had fixed February 22 as the deadline for fee submission.

A press statement issued by the OPNCM on Wednesday read, “A written directive has been issued to the Ministry of Education to find out if there are such cases in other places as well and make arrangements for students failing to pay the examination fees to appear for the SLC exams.”
