LOCUS, 13th national Technological Exhibition inaugurated

The 13th national technological Festival was Successfully inaugurated on 1st July, 2016. This years’ exhibition was themed upon Games and Entertainment, Industry and Automation and Energy and society. Following the Inauguration Ceremony, which was graced by the presence of Honorable Deputy Prime minister and Minster for Energy, Mr. Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, Various Projects in the aforementioned themes from various Engineering Colleges and +2 Colleges were displayed in form of Hardware and Software Projects. One particular nicety of the inauguration ceremony was use of Robotic system and a Drone for Traditional Ribbon Cutting Process.

Despite the Heavy rainfall, which was an Impediment to the Exhibition, the predicted visitor quota for today’s program was successfully met and Various Event that were to be organized were successfully organized. The Events of Particular interest were Samsung AppQuest (First time in Locus), Photography Competition, Fastest Googler, Fastest Texter, MiniMilita Gaming, +2 Project Competition, Hardware, Software and Electrical competition. Excluding the Samsung AppQuest, all other Events are will be conducted till the End of the festival, which will End Tomorrow. New Events like Yomari Code Camp will be conducted tomorrow, which has long ties with Locus Exhibition.

More than Hundred stalls were filled with Projects incorporating various method of incorporating ideas for Home Automation, Agricultural Automation, Virtual Reality, Alternative method of Energy generation and Use of Electrical Energy for replacement of Coal and other Fossil fuels. A Complete Prototype of Electrical Bike Presented by Robotics Club, Pulchowk campus was an example of such ideas. Games and Entertainment Included Various Entertaining Events like Mini-militia (A Extremely Popular Android/iOS Game) Tournament, Fastest Googler (Answer a question using the most popular search Engine, Google) and Fastest Texter(Send a SMS at your top Speed) along with other interesting projects presented by Students from various colleges.
