​ KU Signed MoUs with Wuhan University

KU signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with Wuhan University, China, amid a gathering of represntatives from both the University.

Prof. Dr. Ram Kantha Makaju Shrestha, the Vice Chancellor, signed the MoU on behalf of KU, and Prof. Li Fei, Vice President signed it on behalf of Wuhan University. The MoU ceremony was facilitated by Prof. Dr. Bim Prasad Shrestha, on behalf of the Office of the Vice Chancellor, and Dr. Rajeev Shrestha, Associate Professor at the Department of Pharmacology, School of Medical Sciences, KU.

Of the two MOUs, one involves educational, scientific and cultural cooperation between the two Universities. It targets to initiate research activities in the areas of mutual interest such as public health, water resources and hyropower engineering, pharmacy, nursing, management, law etc.; exchange of scholars, faculty and students for various programs and projects; and, information sharing in the fields of mutual interests. 

The other MOU is about co-consulting, co-building, co-sharing and promoting the establishment of Health Research Institute under the framework of international cooperation initiated by China's "Belt and Road Initiative". It aims to carry out teaching and scientific research cooperation and to promote cultural exchanges.
