Newly-appointed Kathmandu University (KU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Ramkantha Makaju has said that he would not bow down before political pressure to maintain academic excellence of the Kathmandu University.
At a press meet organized at the KU premises on Tuesday, the VC said that the intellectual circle would not bow down before any force.
On the occasion, Makaju also said that timely changes would be made to further enhance the standards of the KU and added he was planning to bring new plans within one/two months.
Saying that colleges meeting conditions would be given affiliation, the VC said he would not compromise with none against the quality of university education and urged one and all to help in this regard.
