Edusanjal

April 29, 2020

As lockdown and social distancing remain the most effective measure to contain the coronavirus COVID-19 the Government of Nepal imposed a national wide lockdown from 24 March. Many educational institutions are affected by the lockdown and online (distance learning) is probably the best measure to ensure learning among the students.

Given the circumstances created by COVID-19, Hope International College has already started offering virtual classes immediately after the lockdown was imposed. The college has been conducting the online classes of B.Sc. NursingPost Basic Bachelor in Nursing (PBBN)PCL Nursing, and Certificate in Diagnostic Radiography programs on a daily basis. Since the content of the courses of Bachelor of Public Health (BPH) and B. Pharm have been already covered, the college is conducting the virtual courses of these two programs as per the demand.

The college is using the Zoom platform to facilitate online learning. About 90% of students are present in the online classes while the remaining 10% of the students are absent due to lack of internet access. The college will be making special provisions for the students who are not accessible on the internet. Hope Int'l College has also implemented a daily reporting system to ensure an effective teaching-learning process.
