Dhangadi: Hearing impaired students have demanded secondary level education from the Minister for Finance Affairs and Planning Jhapad Bahadur Bohora of Province 7 at his office in Dhangadi today.
They have demanded that secondary school be established. Chairperson Dinesh Paneru of Deaf Association Kailali said the hearing impaired could not continue their studies due to lack of relevant schools. Central chairperson of the association KP Adhikari said around 13 deaf resource classes are operating in different districts. “The students cannot continue their studies further due to the lack of secondary schools,” he added. Adhikari said there were as many as 10,500 deaf persons on the province as per census of 2011.
