Kathmandu, April 7 - National Examination Board (NEB) has postponed the examinations of Grade XI and XII until further notice because of the inconveniences caused by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
The examinations of Grade 12 and Grade 11 were scheduled to be held from Baishakh 8, 2077 and Baishakh 21, 2077 respectively. A few weeks ago the examination of Grade 10 (SEE) was also put off.
Chairman of the National Examination Board (NEB), Prof. Dr. Chandramani Poudel said that it is not possible to conduct the examination in such situation. "The examination has been postponed until further notice," he said. "We will publish the new notice once the situation is normal."
The board has requested everyone to prepare for the examinations along with taking necessary precautions and maintaining social distance.
The high-level coordination committee formed by the government to control and prevent the coronavirus (COVID-19) decided to go for a countrywide Lockdown from 24 March. The committee on Monday decided to extend the lockdown by eight days, until April 15, 2020 as lockdown remains the most effective measure to stop the further spreading of COVID-19.
