In 1975, I completed Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Padma Kanya Multiple Campus, Master of Arts (MA) in 1978 from Central Department of Nepalese History Culture and Archaeology, TU, and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in 1991 from Benaras Hindu University, Benaras.

COURSES STUDIED

I studied Secretary Science and History as my majors in BA. I did MA in Nepalese History Culture and Archaeology and completed my PhD in Iconography.

MY COLLEGE LIFE

College life was wonderful where I developed the habit of reading and writing articles. When I was pursuing my Bachelor’s degree, our principal Angur Baba Joshi introduced a programme called Gau Pharka to the students there. All the students had to visit at least one village and experience the rural life there. As per the programme, I went to Indarani village for a week.

BEST OF COLLEGE LIFE

Being a girl and getting higher education at college was regarded as a big achievement those days. Learning new things every day in college was the best part of being educated.

LASTING MEMORIES

We used to have ‘Moral Education’ class every Friday with Professor Siva Gopal Rishal and Joshi. It helped us to learn about right guidance in society. We had to wear saree as our college dress and my mother and sister used to help me wear it.

LESSON LEARNT

The best way to drive women forward is to educate her.
