Demand to make Waling Municipality as an educational hub



Syangja, Ashadh 6: The emphasis has been made to make Waling Municipality, as an educational hub.

Committee formed to study Provincial University and Provincial Technical College under Social Development Ministry of Province 4, demanded to make Waling as an educational hub in a programme organized at Waling. 

In the programme, study committee sought advise from concerned authorities regarding the aim of proposed Provincial University, whether to establish a new university or convert the existing college or university to provincial university, the place in which universities are to be established in case of establishment of the new university and organizational structure of the proposed university.

In the programme, many people including Provincial Assembly member Mohan Regmi, Deepak Charti Magar, District Coordination Committee Chief Sita Sundas, Waling Municipality Deputy Mayor Kalpana Tiwari, Waling Multiple campus Chief Rina Rana, Adarsha Campus Chief Deepak Lamsal, Nepal Bar Association District Chairperson Prakash Aryal insisted to make  Provincial University at Waling on the basis of potential, equity, and justice.

The speakers noted that as Waling is the education hub for the students of Palpa, Syangja, Parbat, Gulmi, and Tanahun districts so that either Provincial University or Provincial Technical College should be established at Waling. The speakers also vowed to manage land for this purpose. They also advised making Province Chief the Chancellor of the university.

The study committee which was formed under the leadership of Prof.Dr.Ganesh Man Gurung should submit the study report before Ashadh 25.
