Kavrepalanchok, Dec 1 (RSS): Minister for Communication and Information Technology Gokul Prasad Banskota has laid emphasis on making the public schools digitalized.
He said that about 600 community schools would be digitalized by upcoming May. While inaugurating a newly constructed building of Shree Ram Secondary School at Panchkhal Municipality in the district today, he shared that three schools from each electoral constituency would go digital in six provinces while six schools each in the constituencies of Province-2.
He further shared that high-speed wi-fi networks would be introduced in such schools. It would help integrate digital skills to the curriculum which will provide opportunities for students to benefit from ICT courses and digital skills.
Newly introduced technology will enhance students to promote safe and responsible use of internet and social media, the Minister said. The programme will be launched from the Karnali province.
The school building was constructed at a total cost of Rs 10 million from the donation of Diga Foundation of Switzerland.
