The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Monday filed two embezzlement cases at the Special Court against six school officials of Rautahat district for registering fake schools.
According to press release of CIAA, principal Jay Mangal Prasad, chairperson of the School Management Committee Rajaram Raut and resource person Sushil Kumar Jha registered a school with the name of RajDevi Primary School in Rampur, Khap -7 of Rautahat, but never operated any academic activities there.
Likewise, three others from the New Primary School registered in Birta -8 of Rautahat were also booked for the similar offence.
Principal Shesh Salauddin, chairperson of the School Management Committee Bandana Devi Karna and resource person Bipin Bihari Singh were charge-sheeted.
According to the anti-corruption body, they embezzled the fund allocated to the school for staff salaries, scholarships and textbooks.
CIAA has demanded that the Court take actions against them as per Sections 3(1d), 3(1e) and 3(1f) of Anti-Corruption Act, 2002.
