As social distancing and self-isolation remain one of the popular measures to contain the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), the Government imposed a national wide lockdown from 24 March. Many educational institutions and businesses in the country have been shut down.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the economy is disrupted and many businesses in the country are facing the existential threat. This pandemic will certainly lead to a permanent shift in the economy. To help the students understand the Impact of COVID-19 in the economy and its effect on daily life, Campion College conducted the webinar where Mr. Phul Prasad Subedi, Assistant Professor Tribhuvan University provided the information to our students. He also suggested some measures to facilitate the tectonic shift in the economy.

Similarly, closures are a serious threat to the mental well-being of the students. During this Pandemic, many people feel stress and are in constant worries. Fear and anxiety about COVID-19 can be overwhelming and cause a strong emotional imbalance in people especially among students. So to cope up with this problem Campion College organized a webinar on “Impact of COVID 19 on mental health among students” for all its students. The program was facilitated by Ms. Sumitra Shrestha who is a senior psycho-social counselor.
