Annual Examination under Pressure, School and Students hit severely

The global outbreak of the corona virus has adversely affected the education sector. On one hand, from Parliament to the streets, there have been voices calling for the closure of schools and universities for a while and on the other hand, schools are under pressure to conduct annual exams. Many schools are conducting the annual exam for two or three subjects daily including Saturday as well.

Schools have experienced problems in managing and conducting examinations. The debate over whether or not to conduct an imminent SEE exam due to a worldwide infection of the Corona virus. Academics point out that an educational session will result in financial loss to the state if the SEE is postponed and re-operated and managed.

The SEE will be in operation since the 6th Chaitra 2076. There have been 1,995 exam centers for SEE examinations. The government has a health desk in every SEE center. The desk will also arrange for health check-up of students, teachers, staff and all concerned, precautionary measures to avoid coronas and to take the health institution for immediate treatment of anyone who is experiencing problems during the examination.

Meanwhile, the Bharatpur Municipality of Chitwan has found that this week, while monitoring the annual examination for Class 8, it was found to be contrary to system. The teacher who works against the system has been removed immediately. Examination has started from today and compulsory English subject examination was conducted on the first day.

According to the results of a social opinion poll conducted by Nepal Teachers' Federation for Teacher's Apparel this week, the votes for the Teacher’s Suit was Maroon Color was 1st, Light Blue was 2nd, Black was 3rd and Dark Gray was 4th place.

Likewise, for the shirt Light Blue is 1st, Maroon is 2nd, Royal Blue is 3rd and Pink is 4th . Likewise, the Federation stated, the colors for sari as Blue in 1st , Pink in 2nd , Maroon in 3rd and Coffee in 4th place.

The Federation informed that the opinion of teachers and staff was collected through the social network for the purpose of selecting teachers' and staff's clothing from their opinion and as per the decision of the First National Council of the Federation.

The poll method is a democratic method of choosing own dress. Therefore, the process has been adopted to honor the selection of the costume, said Laxmi Kishore Subedi, general secretary of FNCCI. According to Subedi, the national committee will take the final decision on the costume from the result of the polls. The Education and Human Resource Development Center has written to 30 schools of different districts receiving selection for the grant within the 7th Chaitra, 2076.

The Center has written to the schools, which did not provide details of the master plan, details of English, Mathematics and Science teachers was approved in the past, and the details of the appointment of the Principal as per the guidelines.
