Kathmandu March 19, Tribhuvan University has decided to put-off all the examinations amid the coronavirus fear. The examinations were previously scheduled to be held on Chaitra.
Examination Controller Pushpraj Joshi informed that all the exams of the annual examination system were postponed. Similarly, a meeting is convened today to postpone the semester-based examination as well. The decision was taken as a precautionary measure against the possible spread of coronanvirus (COVID-19).
A meeting of the high-level coordination committee to control coronavirus (COVID-19) headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Ishwor Pokhrel decided to postpone the examinations of all levels yesterday.
Tribhuvan University’s affiliated and constituent campuses' regular classes will be halted until the end of Chaitra. Dean’s Offices also directed that the examination that is going to be held from Chaitra 7 will also be postponed until the further notice.
Similalry, Tribhuvan University Service Commission’s interview and examination routine will be published by Service Commission. However, regular administrative works won't get affected.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) has already declared the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak as a pandemic with nearly 2 hundred thousand cases from all around the world.
