70 K signatures calling for reforms in BPKIHS submitted to PM Oli

Itahari, July 2 (RSS): A memorandum with a collection of signatures has been handed over to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, calling for reforms in BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS).
Action Dharan and the Dharan Independent Society had collected the signatures of concerned citizens of various places including Dharan and Itahari. A delegation of the concerned citizens submitted a memorandum with the signatures to Prime Minister Oli on Saturday. 

Receiving the memorandum and the collection of signatures, PM Oli said the present government would not tolerate any fact if anyone anywhere was found negligent or slipshod on matters of public health. 
He gave assurances that such activities would be stopped forthwith and corrected. 

On the occasion, the delegation had handed over to the PM a collection of 70 thousand citizens along with the memorandum of protest against what is said to be the increasing unruliness, financial irregularities, sheer negligence and the irresponsibility of the Institute's administration. 

The Prime Minister also on the occasion pledged to start reforming the unruliness seen in the health sector from the BPKIHS Dharan itself. 

Meanwhile, the delegation led by its coordinator Sachit Sharma also met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health and Population, Upendra Yadav, at the Ministry on Sunday and shared about the citizens' concern regarding BPKIHS and held extensive discussions with him on the ways of making amends to the unruliness and negligence at the country's one of major public health institution. 
The other members of the delegation include Prof Rishi Raj Gautam, Ajaya Rai, Sangeeta Limbu and Shanta Limbu.
