The 6thedition of MBA GLM Running Shield Futsal Tournament began on 2nd March 2021 at Krinagar Futsal, Tyanglaphat, Kirtipur. The intra-college futsal tournament is an annual event organized by the students of MBA-GLM from the School of Management, Tribhuvan University (SOMTU).
A total of 14 teams have participated in this year's tournament. 9 of them are boys’ teams and 5 are girls’ teams divided between 3 polls and 2 polls respectively. The opening ceremony was held in the Chairmanship of Mr. Bikas Karki, the president of the organizing committee whereas, Prof. Dr. Mahananda Chalise, Director of SOMTU was the chief guest. Similarly, the chairman of the Student Welfare Society Club, SOMTU, Mr. Abinash Kunwar Chhetri was the guest for the opening ceremony. The ceremony was followed by a dance piece and a musical performance by SOMTU students. The tournament kicked off with the match between MBA IT 5th Batch and MBA General 15th Batch, which was won by MBA 15th Batch by a scoreline of 3-2.
The tournament finals/closing ceremony is scheduled for 5th March 2021, Friday.
