5 thousand teaching positions still vacant after the licensing examination

Teachers Service Commission is going to conduct the teachers’ examination to make the temporary teachers permanent. The examination will be conducted on 75% internal competition and 25% open competition.

However, Teachers Service Commission has stated that there would still be 5 thousand 5 hundred and 15 positions vacant even after the examination and providing the permanent teaching license. The commission had advertised for 23 thousand 2 hundred and 86 posts. However, only 22 thousand 76 applications were received by the commission.

According to the assistant secretary of the commission Tulsi Prasad Thapaliya, among the applications, 16 thousand 1 hundred and 99 applications for the 16 thousand 5 hundred and 32 posts of primary level, 3 thousand 7 hundred and 64 for the 3 thousand 2 hundred and 34 posts of lower secondary level and 3 thousand 3 hundred and 23 applications for the 2 thousand and 3 hundred and 10 posts of secondary level have been received.

Among the vacant positions, 4 thousand and 12 in the primary level, 9 hundred and 88 in the lower secondary level and 5 hundred and 24 in secondary level will still remain vacant. The Commission therefore says that there is no need to be agitation by non-teachers for the lack of positions.
