Government of Nepal will be hosting the Nepal Conference on Sanitation (NeCoSan) on 14-15 May 2013 in Kathmandu. NeCoSan is being organised at the national level in preparation for the South Asian Conference on Sanitation (SACOSAN) also scheduled to be held in Nepal in November 2013.
The conference will further explore national capacity on sanitation and the status of the SACOSAN declarations. It is expected to add value to the national sanitation movement through discussions around national targets and by developing a national prospective for SACOSAN. Three parallel sessions will be run and papers on eight selected focus topics will be created for SACOSAN.
Around 150 people representing the Government, water sanitation sector stakeholders, UN agencies, alliances and entrepreneurs are expected to attend the conference.
