Date: 06 January, 2018Venue: British Council, Lainchaur, KathmanduTime: 10 am to 5 pm.

Cambridge International A Level is a two year course which students can take after their Secondary Education Examination (After grade 10). The Cambridge A-Level is recognised in Nepal as being equivalent to Plus 2 curriculum of Nepal.

The subject content of the A Level syllabuses has been subdivided into two parts: the AS syllabus content, which is expected to be covered in the first half of the course, and the second part of the syllabus, commonly referred to as A2. taken at the end of the second year of study. However, there are certain subjects that are only available at AS levels and can be taken as free-standing qualification.

Why choose AS and A levels ?

A-level results can open doors for students to pursue undergraduate studies at some of the best higher educational institutions in Nepal and around the world, including Tribhuwan University, Kathmandu University, Cambridge, Harvard, MIT and London School of Economics to name but a few.

What are the benefits for Learners ?

The wide variety of subjects - 55 in total - means learners can choose a study route that suits their interests and aspirations. This develops deep understanding of the subject as well as independent learning and constructive thinking skills-abilities that universities value highly. This program is flexible and provides the freedom to broaden learning.

When does the exam take place ?

The A Level examinations are held twice a year. One is held in May/June and another in October/November. The British Council has 31 partner schools in Nepal which offers Cambridge A-Levels in Nepal.
