Kathford International College of Engineering and Management is organizing its annual event Kathfest 2019 on the theme “Solving the problems of Nepal”. The event is an wonderful opportunity where students from +2 Colleges, Engineering Students and Professionals in this field showcase their talents and expertise.
The two day event marks a wonderful platforms to the students and developers can immerse fully in the innovative trends and aid them in their professional careers. The exhibition, aims to prepare students for their future career and familiarize them with the technical companies in Nepal

This annual event will be conducted for two days and will consist of different competitions/events related to Software, Hardware and Electronics, Civil Engineering, Gaming, Management, Photography and many more.
1. Software Exhibition (Theme Based)
Software Exhibition is a project showcasing event of Kathfest. Participants need to make their projects in order to solve the burning issues of Nepal. Software exhibition provides an effective learning approach for students of all abilities.
2. Software Exhibition (Open)
Software Exhibition is a project showcasing event of Kathfest. Software exhibition provides an effective approach for students and others to be familiar with the growing technical world. Working on the projects develops problem-solving skills among the students and shows them a clear picture of new and lucrative prospects available thereby a scope to explore.
3. Alcode
Alcode is a problem solving event of Kathfest, where participants are given a set of questions to be solved in C/C++ and the one to solve it first, will be declared the winner.
4. Software Hackathon
Software Hackathon is one of the pre-events of Kathfest. It is a two-day coding competition, where students come together as teams to build and design something to solve certain problems. The theme for the event will be announced before the event.
1. Manual Angry Bots
Manual Akhada is a battlebot event where manually controlled robots need to push away the opponent robot out of the arena to earn points and overcome the obstacles along the way.
2. Automatic Angry Bots
Automatic Akhada is a battlebot event where participants make automatic robots and bot is needed to push away the opponent bot out of the arena to earn points.
3. Drone Racing
Drone racing is a sport event where participants control "drones" (typically small radio-controlled aircraft or quadcopters) to fly on a designed mission track. A complex, three-dimensional race course will be built for the race.
4. Hardware Exhibition (Theme Based)
Hardware Exhibition is a project showcasing event of Kathfest. Hardware exhibition provides an effective approach for students and others to be familiar with the growing technical world.
5. Hardware Exhibition (Open Category)
Hardware Exhibition is a project showcasing event of Kathfest. Participants need to make their projects as they might like. Hardware exhibition provides an effective learning approach for students of all abilities.
6. +2 Project Demonstration
+2 Project Demonstration is the project showcasing competition for +2 students where they can show their projects regarding software and hardware.
1. Popsicle Bridge
We all have probably walked or ridden over a bridge at some point in their lives. In this engineering activity participants will design and make bridges out of popsicles, and test how much weight they can hold.
2. Civil Modelling
This enables students to further develop the principles and practice of civil engineering.
3. Civil Quiz
Civil quiz is a game which can also be called a mind sport wherein the players, either as individuals or in teams attempt to answer questions posed to them correctly.
4. Civil Wonders
New technologies and materials have allowed the humans to build structures increasingly impressive and complex, paying tribute to the modern society's ability for achieving the unachievable and refusing the notion of "it can't be done". This competition, allowing general people explore the extraordinary feats of civil engineering, quenches the thirst of curious minds.
Kath Fest 2019 will have gaming competitions such as FIFA 2019 and PUBG.
1. Quiz competition
Quiz competition is the event where various students from different college will participate in a competition. Various objective question would be asked by quiz master according to rules and regulations set by the ORGANIZING COMMITTEE.
2. Idea Pitching
The main motto of this event is to make the participants as well as the students good in the sector of creative ideas that can make the work effective. The Idea must incorporate the solution of the problems that are existed in the market.
3. Visit Nepal 2020 Advertisement
Promoting Tourism is the main motto of Nepal government. Various media houses are being engaged in such advertising. Students can be the transformation of any place. Let’s make the event successful from our sides.
1. Photography Competition
Photography Competition provides an effective approach for amateur photographers to present their skills to the guests and the judges. Students from Bachelor and +2 Colleges can take part in this competition.
