Astronomy Olympiad/ Asteroid Search Orientation Program

Nepal Astronomical Society (NASO) is organizing an orientation program regarding National Astronomy Olympiad 2019 and Asteroid Search Campaign. The program is scheduled to be held on Saturday, December 7, 2018 at Southwestern State College, Basundhara, Kathmandu.

It will be the only orientation before the program for the interested persons who are preparing to participate at the upcoming Astronomy Olympiad or asteroid search campaign in Kathmandu valley,

About National Astronomy Olympiad Program

The National Astronomy Olympiad Program is an educational program designed by Nepal Astronomical Society (NASO) to encourage Nepalese students who pursue further studies in physics,
mathematics, astronomy, astrophysics and space Science. 

About Asteroid Search Campaign

All-Nepal Asteroid Search Campaign (ANASC) is a hands-on astronomy program for the high school students with a unique opportunity to make original discoveries of asteroids. It provides high-quality data to the students to get the taste of astronomical research and discoveries. Prior to each search campaign, two-day workshop is organized in order to familiarize students in a campaign for their successful discoveries!
