Women mathematicians' conference kicks off in Kathmandu

Kathmandu, Oct 12 (RSS): A conference of Women Mathematicians of Asian countries has kicked off at Central Department of the Mathematics, Tribhuvan University, Kirtipur in the capital today. 

The conference has been organized by Women of Nepal in Mathematical Sciences where 60 mathematicians from 12 countries are taking part. Inaugurating the conference, Minister for Women, Children and Social Welfare Asha Koirala stressed on women's leadership in every aspect of the society. 

The chair of the organizing committee Prof Dr Shanti Bajracharya shared that the conference will be a platform to exchange views of women's access to education and particularly in the Mathematics discipline. 
The seminar will conclude on October 15.
