Tribhuvan University is determined to run a paperless administration from now on-wards. On the inaugration of the Information Technology Center the Vice-chancellor of TU Tritha Raj Khaniya announced of the paperless administration in the University.
The Information and Technology center has been established with the aid of the Global Aid Network (GNN) of Korea and Nepal Campus Crusade for Christ. This is the second building after the 2072 earthquake destroyed most of the buildings of the TU premises.
While addressing the ceremony, the VC of TU stressed on the development of the information and technology in the University. He stated that the University would now move in a novel path and also added that new equipments and instruments would be brought in the center.
In the program, the Director of the Korean aid GNN, Rave Ho Young expressed his commitment to help Tribhuvan University by bringing new software and technology to run the paperless administration in it. Meanwhile, the Chief of the TU Planning Federation Hridish Pokharel had informed that a total budget of 10 crores had been allocated for the the constituent campuses under TU across the country and the four research centers.
Additionally, the registrar of TU informed that the employees of the University would be given immediate training to create a technology friendly environment in the University. According to the sources of the IT center, there would be step-wise work in making the administration of TU technology oriented from Kirtipur, Kathmandu and then in the campuses across the nation.
