Students of TU studying in open ground to avoid cold

The students of Central Campus, Tribhuvan University have been studying in the open ground to avoid the freezing cold of the few days’. Kathmandu Valley has seen the temperature drop down to 0 degree celcius in the last week of Poush.

The University campuses are closed till 15th of Magh for the cold weather. However, the students are not exempted from studying for the Master’s level examiantions are near.

One of the students who was enjoying the warm sun in the open ground along with studying says that it is very difficult to study in the cold room by shivering of cold.

The students bring mattresses to lay or sit along with water and snacks acompanying the study books. By that way, the students can utilize the full day for learning until the sunset.

Tribhuvan University premises is spread over an area of 3 thousand and 42 ropani. There are offices of the Vice-chancellor, Rector, Registrar, Central Campus, Central Library, 39 Departments, 4 research centers, Office of the Examination Controller and the Office of the Dean in the TU premises. Office of the Tribhuvan University Service Commission, TU Cricket Ground, Ayurveda Campus, Space Study Center, Laboratory School, Hostel, Lecturers’ Residence and TU printing Press are also occupied within the area.

Different cabins are designated as per the category of the library visitors. separate reading rooms such as faculty cabins for M.phil and Ph.D., Teachers’ cabin, Thesis cabin, cabin for reference material and for Journals and magazines are present.

According to the library staff, 500 daily visitors visit the library among which 200 issue the books.
