Students´ organizations affiliated to different political parties disrupted admission form distribution of the first semester of Master´s Degree at the University Campus of Tribhuvan University in Kirtipur.
The Nepal Students Union (NSU), All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU), All Nepal National Independent Students Union (Revolutionary), and other organizations disrupted the form distribution in all 34 Central Departments by putting forth their 17-point demand.
They demanded that the semester system be made well managed by maintaining the internal criteria for the better results; provide chance for attending supplementary exams within a month of result publication as per the international practice, said NSU leader at the University Campus Parasmani Ghimire.
The students have locked the office of Faculty of Education since December 22. The students padlocked the office citing the result of the M. Ed First Semester under the faculty failed to manage the grading system.
Department Chief of the Education Faculty Prof Shiva Sharan Maharjan said the department made efforts to settle meet the students´ demands and resume the works of the faculty but the efforts went in vain as the organizations jointly put forward their demands by showing dissatisfaction regarding the semester system.
Meanwhile, a meeting of the Joint Students´ Organization under the TU, on Thursday, demanded implementing the semester system by developing necessary infrastructures
