Different student organisations have expressed commitment to strictly follow the code of conduct in the election of Free Student Union scheduled from February 25.

A joint meeting of 10 different student organisations including Nepal Students Union and All Nepal National Independent Students Union (Revolutionary) on Saturday expressed the commitment to follow the code of conduct to make the FSU election fair and disciplined.

The meeting also decided to form a monitoring committee comprising general secretary or designated representatives of all organisations to carry out regular monitoring in every campus whether the code of conduct is followed or not, said ANNFSU Secretary, RC Lamichhane.

The student organisations also decided to resolve problems immediately from central level by holding discussion with concerned campus if disputes surfaced.

Similarly, the meeting also demanded to carry out investigation immediately if fake students are found admitted against the code of conduct and cancel their admission, and to urge the concerned administration to take action against it.

The meeting also urged the Tribhuvan University to forward election process as per the schedule from Sunday to hold the election on the determined date.

Nain Singh Mahar of NSU, Nabina Lama of ANNFSU and Narendra Neupane of ANNISU (Revolutionary), among others were present in the meeting. RSS
