Six agitating students'
organisations in Jhapa district have closed all educational institutions
affiliated to Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training
(CTEVT) in the district today.
The students' organisations announced the closure of educational institutions charging the Lifeline Institute of Health Sciences of intentionally failing three nursing students of the institute.
Teaching learning activities of six educational institutions have been affected as a result of the shutdown.
The organisations have warned of stronger forms of agitation if the Institution did not correct its alleged prejudiced act.
The All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU), Nepal Students Union (NSU), All Nepal National Independent Students Union (ANNISU) Revolutionary and ANNISU-Revolutionary, among others have launched the agitation programme.
Before this, the agitating students' organisations on Friday padlocked the office of the Chief of the Institute.
