School Uniforms distributed to the students of flood-hit region

A total of 135 students of Manmohan Adharbhut Prathamik Bidhyalaya have been given school uniforms here in the flood-hit region of Itahari Sub-Metropolitan Muncipality. The uniforms were provided by the Koshi Zone Brick Industry Union.  The students had become homeless after the Budhiganga river hit their homes destroying everything. The 135 students were from the marginalized groups and unifroms worth One lakh and 35 thousand were provided according the central member of the Federation of Nepal Brick Industries, Lilam Basnet.

According to the school principal, Bhim Bahadur basnet, students were taught by arranging the old books and copies from the locality and the bookshops but the arrangement of the uniforms was being difficult.

District Chairman of the federation, Khagendra Shrestha stated that the uniforms were distributed owing to the difficulty faced by the students in going to the school in lack of school uniforms after losing them int he flood.
