Ms Tripathi awarded PhD on Feminist Consciousness on Modern Nepali Fiction

Sudha Tripathi has been awarded with the doctor of philosophy (PhD) for her dissertation on ‘Feminist Consciousness on Modern Nepali Fiction.’

Tripathi conducted research and submitted it to the Faculty of Humanities and Social Science of Tribhuvan University.According to TU statement, it awarded her with the Ph D after her research met the set criteria.

"This is the first doctoral research being conducted in the Nepali literature from the feminist perspective," said dean professor Dr. Nava Raj Kandel.

Tripathi published about a dozen works including essays, criticism and poetry. Some of them include Badal, Dharti ra Asthaharu, Jeewansutra ra Swopanbhas, Amar Sirjana and Dristi Chautari

She won more than half-a-dozen awards and is involved in various literary campaigns. Her half a dozen works are in the pipeline.

She is a chair of Abhyuthan Mahila Sahitya Pratisthan and associated with numerous literary and social organsiations.
