Locals managed amount for building school

Beni, Myagdi, 30 Jestha: The locals of Myagdi, Beni Municipality-03, Bhakimli has raised Rs, 1,29,00,000. 

To build the school of Jayanti Secondary School of Bhakimli, locals have collected the money from the Nepalese who live abroad and here as well. 

For the reconstruction of an old school building, they sought help from the governmental bodies but they did not get help as they had expected. Thus, in their initiative, they started to build a new school building. Principal Ram Bahadur Thapa informed that fully equipped 30 rooms building have now in its final phase. 

For rebuilding the school, they had received the grant of 31 lakh and 44 thousand from the Education Development and Coordination Unit, informed principal Thapa. 

"An attempt of locals of Bhakimli who are living in the United Kingdom, Hongkong, America, Spain, Belgium, Qatar, Japan and other parts of the world for the development of physical infrastructure of the school is appreciable", said Thapa. 

"People who donate from Rs 50 to 50 lakhs for the construction of school building will be awarded," informed the school committee. 
Paul Vandre, who currently works in Himalayan Project in Belgium helped 15 lakh. He is also the spouse of Nita Buduja Pun, a resident of North Myagdi, Ghaar Chitre further committed to help 45 lakh. In addition, the school informed that it has an aim to collect 1 crore further. 

Ward Chairperson of School Management Committee, Padam Pun informed that even though, District Education Office decided to give the budget for building 7 rooms in the school, rest of the amount were collected through funds.
