Lincoln University College (LUC), Malaysia held its first Convocation Ceremony 2017 in Nepal on 22 July, 2017 at Hotel Radisson for students of Nepal. Honourable Vice President Mr. Nanda Bahadur Pun was the Chief Guest. Other dignitaries were the former Minister of Education Mr. Dina Nath Sharma, Pro Chancellor of LUC Datuk Dr. Hajjah Bibi Florina Abdullah, Vice Chancellor of LUC Prof. Dr. Amiya Bhaumik and other officials of Ministry of Education.

LUC is situated in the cosmopolitan town of Petaling Jaya which is 10 km west of the capital city, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. It was established in 2002 as Lincoln College and was upgraded on 16 August, 2011 as Lincoln University College. This is one of the premier private institutions of higher education approved by Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia and accredited by Malaysian Qualifying Agency ( MQA).

Ministry of Education, Government of Nepal gave permission in 2012 to conduct LUC programs in Nepal and Phoenix College of Management was the first college to conduct BBA and MBA programs affiliated to LUC. However, over the years this network has grown to 12 colleges and a total of about 2800 students are currently enrolled in these colleges in three different programs namely BHM, BBA and MBA. LUC has the largest network among international education providers in Nepal with 12 affiliated colleges spread across Birtamode, Biratnagar, Itahari, Butwal, Pokhara, Kathmandu and Lalitpur. This has given a new opportunity to Nepali students who desire to earn international degree without having to go abroad, thus saving a lot of money to be remitted abroad.
