Vice chairman of the UCPN-Maoist Dr Baburam Bhattarai has said that technological mind of Nepalis is not being well mobilised due to lack of technology and knowledge in Nepal.
Maoist vice chairman Bhattarai who is also an architect made such remark on Sunday inaugurating the science exhibition organised by the St. Lawrence College in the capital.
He said, “We don’t lack talented figures. Many Nepalis are working as top scientists and technicians abroad. But we need political willpower to mobilize them at home and make Nepal technologically advanced nation.”
He also expressed dissatisfaction saying the Ministry of Science and Technology in Nepal was neglected and not paid attention properly.
Some 8,000 students attended the science exhibition, said the St. Lawrence.
Some 50 scientific creations of the students have been kept in the exhibition including robots, wireless electricity transmission machine and others.
