Kathmandu University Professors' Union has padlocked two dean offices of the School of Engineering and School of Sciences under the university, putting forth their eight-point demand since last Thursday. Issues of promotion of varsity employees and teachers have been included in the eight-points deman to the management of the University.

Their demands include promotion of teachers and employees on the ground of experience and qualifications, determination of maximum contract period for contract teachers and staffers and resolution of seniority dispute seen between contract and permanent teachers.

Agitating professors at Kathmandu University in Dhulikhel, Kavre have warned they would intensify their agitation if their demands are not met. They have also stated that they would  start new protests since the management failed to address their demands.
