Kathmandu University call for papers for Fifth Media Research Conference 2014

Department of Languages and Mass Communication (DoLMC), School of Arts and Humanities and Management Unit (HMU), School of Engineering, Kathmandu University, and Martin Chautari (MC), Kathmandu, are jointly organizing the fifth annual Media Research Conference on 27 April 2014(14 Baisakh 2071).
The aim of this conference is  bringing together researchers, media educators, media students as well as scholars with interest in the fields of social sciences and humanities. Through this conference the organizers hope to augment critical and interdisciplinary discussions on various aspects of Nepali media. We welcome presentations of papers based on recent researches.
Please note:
  1. Abstract, research paper and presentation can be either in Nepali or English.
  2. Research abstracts (of 500 words) along with 2-page (max.) curriculum vitae should reach MC or DoLMC or HMU within the deadline, 14 January 2014 (30 Poush 2070). The abstract can be sent by email, post, or hand-delivered to the MC office or DoLMC or HMU.
  3. Decision on submitted abstracts will be conveyed by email by 19 January 2014 (5 Magh 2070).
  4. Final paper should be submitted by 15 April 2014 (2 Baisakh 2071).
  5. No remuneration will be provided. However, outstanding papers will be published in the publications of Martin Chautari and KU.
