Islington College in Kathmandu, which is directly affiliated with London Metropolitan University (LondonMet), has stated that they will not be affected by the decision made the UK government. International students wanting to study in LondonMet, previously, were provided with recommendation letters for their Visa but now have been barred from providing such papers.
“Some international students disappeared during their course and some stayed behind after the completion of their degrees. Hence, the government has put a cap on the University,” informed Sulav Budhathoki, CEO at Islington College, adding that the decision will not affect students currently enrolled with the college here in Kathmandu.
“Nepali students who cannot find a sponsor back in London and opt to come back home can continue their education with us without having to lose any year,” he said.
