Kathmandu, Feb 24 (RSS): An international conference on 'quality education in Nepal's federal structure' concluded here Saturday.
The conference was organised by Higher Institutions and Secondary Schools' Association Nepal (HISSAN). Chief Minister for Province 5, Shankar Pokhrel, was on the occasion to formally announce the closing of the conference.
He pledged to carry out policy-level reforms in the education as per federal structure and bring a miracle in education by exercising and promoting practical education. A total of 18 working papers on education policies adopted in 16 federal countries were presented during the two-day conference.
According to HISSAN Secretary Ramhari Silwal, the objective of the conference attended by around 350 representatives and University professors from 16 countries, including India, China, the US, UK and Bangladesh was to collect feedback to determine what sort of education policy was required in Nepal.
