Indian aid for school building in Morang

Indian Ambassador to Nepal Jayant Prasad on Wednesday laid the foundation stone of a new building for Shree Adarsha Higher Secondary School, Biratnagar.

The new building is being constructed with Indian assistance of Rs 3.16 crore. There are more than 1,400 students in the school.Also, Ambassador Prasad inaugurated the school building for Shree Saraswati Higher Secondary School, Itahari, which has been built with Indian assistance under Nepal-India Economic Cooperation Program..

Prior to this, India has given assistance of Rs 16.77 crore for infrastructure projects including a nursing campus, roads, and a cold storage facility. India has also constructed the Manmohan Memorial Polytechnic in Hattimudha VDC of Morang District at a cost of NRs 40 crore, besides gifting seven ambulances and three school buses for use in Morang District.
