Kathmandu, Oct 3 (RSS): Various health-related organisations rendered services by tying black bands on their arms and wearing helmets in protest against the agreement reached between the Health Ministry and Nepal Medical Association (NMA).

Various 11 organisations including Doctors Society of Nepal, Government Doctors Association of Nepal, National Medical Association and Nepal Dental Association said that agreement reached between the two sides regarding the 'jail without bail' is not clear.

The demand for 'jail without bail', meaning anyone manhandling health professionals and vandalizing health institutions over 'suspected death' due to doctor's negligence be detained and taken into custody without bail, should be addressed as it is and a bill related to this be presented before the upcoming House meeting, they stressed.

The NMA and the government signed a four-point agreement on September 29 in the witness of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and with this agreement, doctors protesting against the government decision to bring a law requiring doctors to compensate the victims and their kin in case of the death or damage to the health of patient due to doctors' negligence, withdrew the protest programmes.
