Tribhuvan University is planning to send 133 Computer/ IT Engineers in village for a period of two years. This move of TU comes to increase the accessibility of Information and Technology in villages.
Tribhuvan University has done an agreement with Ministry of Local Development to send IT engineers to villages.
Joint secretary of Ministry of Local development Reshmi raj Pandey and the Dean of Tribhuvan University institute of Technology Bharatraj Pahari has signed a contract recently. They will be send as a volunteer in 75 district and 58 muncipalities.
The Engineers from Pulchowk Engineering campus will be given special training within Chaitra and will be send to villages from last week of Baishakha-2071. Till date the first choice of IT engineers is foreign countries.
Government of Nepal is planning to make cyber cafe in every villages of Nepal and inculcate positive habit among the youths. Campus will select the stduents who will go for village posting.
Tribhuvan University is also planning to send the students of Masters of Rural Development in village posting as a volunteer.
