Govt to honor 40 Civil Servants with Civil Service Award

Kathmandu, Sept 6: A total of 40 civil servants are going to be awarded with the 'Civil Service Award' on the occasion of 14th Civil Service Day this year. 

According to the Spokesperson of the Ministry of General Administration, Shivaram Neupane, out of 40 civil servants, 'Best Civil Service Award' would be presented to 10 civil servants and 'Civil Service Award' to 30 civil servants. 
He, however, said that none of the civil servants would get 'Outstanding Civil Servant Award' of Rs 200,000 this year. Although, names were received for outstanding civil servant award, none of the employees was found appropriate for the same. 
The General Administration Ministry made the names public on Wednesday as per the decision of Monday's meeting of Council of Ministers. 
The country is observing the 'Civil Service Day' on Thursday under the slogan, ' Commitment of Civil Servants: Transparency and Promptness'. RSS
