Education experts demand for the provision of renewal of teachers license

Education experts have advised to bring the provision for the renewal of Teachers’ License in every 5 years. Likewise, they have also advised a rule which is more strict for the passing of the examination stating that the pass marks should be 80 instead of the current 50 marks. In addition to that, the experts also suggest for the subject wise license for the teachers.

The attendees of an interaction program organised by the Teachers service Commission had given their opinions on the quality of the teachers produced in the country.

According to the educationist Mana Prashad Wagle, the Education Faculty of the University should heed towards the quality of the teachers that it will produce. The regulation should be done from the source which will help in the better workforce production in the education sector.

Similarly  personalities like Dr. Min Bahadur Bista, Prof. Dr. Bidhyanath Koirala had opinionated about the re-organiztion of the teaching profession, ethics and provision of license in more than one subject as well as province wise teachers allocation.

In response to the suggestions of the education experts, the Education Secretary had stated that the Ministry of Education would move accordingly.

Personalities from Ministry of Education and Curriculum Development Center were present in the interaction program.

The Teachers Service commission has given over 7 lakhs teachers license till date.
