Doctors' Association welcomes Medical Education Ordinance

Kathmandu, Nov 11 (RSS): Doctors' Association of Nepal (DAN) has thanked the government for bringing an ordinance on Medical Education Act and the President for authenticating the ordinance. 

Expressing the confidence that the ordinance will bring total change, reform, good governance and transparency in the sectors of medical education and the health, DAN, through a press release also called on the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health and other ministries to put the ordinance into effective practice. 

The press release undersigned by DAN general secretary Toshima Karki expresses the conviction the Act would make an important contribution towards the practical implementation of the people's fundamental right to get quality health service provided for by the constitution. 

DAN believes that the first meeting of the next House of Representatives will endorse the ordinance.
