CTEVT examination disrupted as examinees protest strict invigilation

The examinations of Diploma/PCL first year Medicine, Lab Technician, Nursing, Computer Engineering, and Civil Overseer, among others, was halted for an hour  in Public Bindeshwori Higher Secondary School Rajbiraj as  examinees protested strict invigilation. 
 
The examinations is carried out by Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) at the centre in  was disrupted for an hour due to a row between examinees and the administration, today. 
 
According to superintendent of the examination centre Arun Kumar Jha,  a team comprising Assistant Chief District Officer and District Education Officer, among others, had snatched cheating material from an examinee. Irate examinees in the room came out of the examination hall and forced students of other classes to boycott the test and chanted slogans against the administration. 
 
Some of the students had taken their question papers and answer sheets out to protest. They pelted stones at security personnel deployed at the centre and damaged a district administration van and a police jeep. 
 
Assistant CDO of Saptari said tension erupted after he intervened in order to conduct a fair examination. CTEVT Officer Keshav Lal Shrestha said examination of those who came out with answer sheets would be cancelled.
