KATHMANDU:The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police on Friday said it busted a gang that dealt on fake certificates and confiscated a cache of educational credentials bearing different names, which they forged for their shoddy business.
The CIB identified the gang members as Dhyan Kumar Rai aka Udaya Rai aka Dhyane (35) of Udayapur, Bir Bahadur Bohora aka Deepak aka Babis (35) of Salyan, and Mahananda Gaire (27) of Syangja. All of them were living in different places in the Capital.
The trio was sent to the Metropolitian Police Range, Hanumandhoka for further action yesterday.
It has been learnt that Bohara was earlier convicted of fraud for faking the government stamp last year. The gang used to sell a set of certificates from the SLC to PCL level for Rs 15,000.
