CIAA investigates the case of Nepal Engineering College

Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority(CIAA) has seized some of the official  documents of Nepal Engineering College. The college has been alleged of being converted to a private company from a community service organization, according to the CIAA.

The process of making the college a private company has been in the collaborative plotting of employees of the company registrar office. The investigation was proceeded after some co-ordinatrs of the college filed a complaint against Chairman Lambodar Neupane for registering the college as a private company overnight. The complaint was filed in the District Administration Office.

Allegedly, Chairman Neupane had registered the college as Private Limited in the month of Baisakh which came to be disclosed to other employees only in Shrawan.

The college, located at Changunarayan was running as a non-profit organization. NEC has been running BE programs in civil, computer, electrical and electronics and Bachelor of Architecture programs under the affiliation of Pokhara University. It also runs Master's level programs in Engineering and Management at IOE, Pulchowk.
