CIAA filed a corruption case against Under Secretary of MoE and other officials

Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Thursday filed a corruption case at the Special Court against the then Under Secretary Beni Madhav Bhattarai of Ministry of Education (MoE).

 According to press release of CIAA , Bhattarai had taken over Rs. 4.50 million in bribe from students assuring them of getting them admitted at the Indian education institutions running MBBS, MD and MBA programmes.

Similarly, The CIAA has filed the same case against Dr. Binod Kumar Mishra, Vice-Principal of Ramsworup Ramsagar Multiple Campus in Janakpur, Monaj Mishra, Vice-Principal of Science and Technology faculty in Tribhuvan University, Kirtipur.

They had received Rs. 2.6 million from students.The CIAA has demanded that all three officials repay the amount they received as bribe and also pay a fine equivalent to the same amount
