Applications to KMC for 12 new schools

Applications for 12 new schools have been received in the Kathmandu Metropolitan city for the current fiscal year.

For the addition of classrooms, 100 applications have been received. For that, Kathmandu Metropolitan City had called for applications from the month of Paush to Magh i.e. before three months of the beginning of the new educational session. 

Head of Education Department of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Prahad Aryal, said that the site monitoring was being done with the required documents and the infrastructure to check if the new school was necessary or not, under the prevalent laws, rules and directories. 

The decision regarding the establishment of the school will be clear on the basis of the investigation report presented by the School Inspector and the Sources Person.

Currently, 100 public schools and about 700 private schools are being operated in Kathmandu Metropolitan City, and 1 lacs 65 thousand students are enrolled in those schools. Kathmandu Metropolitan city will be taking the responsibility of all the school operation in the City, after the local election, last year decided the rights of all the local levels.
