Announcement for admission in M.Sc Environment and Natural Resources, MS by Research in Glaciology, and Bridge courses.

Kathmandu University, School of Science, Department of Environment Science and Engineering announces admissions open for M.Sc Environment and Natural Resources, MS by Research in Glaciology, and Bridge courses for entry to M.Sc Environment and Natural Resources program.

Eligibility for admission into M.Sc/Bridge Courses

Candidates who have completed 4 years undergraduate programs in Life Sciences, Environmental Science, Agricultural Sciences, Forestry, or other relevant field of study with minimum of 2.5 CGPA or 50% in aggregate marks are eligible to apply. Those from 3 year undergraduate programs in any basic science field of study will be required to take a one year bridge course beginning in September 2013.

Eligibility for Admission into M.S by Research in Glaciology

Students having completed a four year Bachelor's degree in Hydrology, Meterology, Geosciences, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering with minimum 2.5 CGPA or 50% or more in aggregate marks are eligible to apply. Priority will be given to qualified female candidates with sound health and high altitude field work experience.

Submission of Applications

Application forms are available at the Program Coordinator in School of Science, Dhulikhel, Kavre or online at the Kathmandu University, School of Science, Department of Environmental Science and Engineering website. (Graduate application form)

Submit completed application form and application fee of Rs. 1000 deposited to Nepal Investment Bank Limited A/C No: 00501030250009, along with photocopies  of previous academic and citizenship certificates to the

Office of the Head of Department, School of Science, at Dhulikhel, Kavre

Last of submission of application is 27th August 2013.

Only shortlisted candidates will be informed to appear for interview on Monday, 2nd September 2013.

Orientation and classes will commence from Friday 6th September 2013.
